Description

TAPESTRY: THE DRAGON DIAL is a Tone Module that turns your campaign into a legend engine.

This Dial isn’t “about dragons” as a monster type. It’s about mythic gravity—moments that feel too big to ignore, where power demands tribute, the impossible must be challenged, and every choice carries weight that echoes past the scene. A lone champion at a bridge can feel as terrifying as a wyrm, not because of what they are, but because of what the moment means

When the Dragon Dial is active, the table’s rhythm shifts:

Threads become rarer, hotter, and louder. You don’t only earn Threads from setbacks—you also earn them from audacity: refusing to bow, staking a claim, standing against higher-Tier threats. And there’s a dial-specific way to spend Threads that lets heroes stay standing when they shouldn’t be able to.

Consequences stop being “minor setbacks.” Weak hits often land as collateral damage and hard costs. Misses don’t just slow you down—they leave scars, curses, lost trust, and fallout that keeps echoing into future arcs

The world remembers you on purpose. The Dragon Dial introduces a shared subsystem—the Legend Track—that measures deeds worthy of songs, fear, and whispers. As it rises, the setting reacts: rivals escalate, tyrants prepare, and your name starts opening doors… or painting targets.

A mythic condition palette. This dial spotlights story-marking conditions—Fear, Pride, Scorched, and Oath-Bound—meant to define arcs, not just impose penalties.

What you get

  • Dragon Dial PDF (Tone Module)

  • Guidance to reframe foes and scenes as “dragon-weight” tests of will, legacy, and endurance

The Legend Track subsystem, escalation guidance, and quick reference tables

  • Examples of play to show how the dial changes choices and fallout

If you want your table to feel like they’re writing the kind of story people argue about in taverns a hundred years later, this is the dial.
